Our Vision

Harwood Methodist Church is following a Vision to be an outward facing church, serving the community, working in partnership with a number of agencies, and seeking to be a focal point of the community, with Christ at our centre, which aims to support the work that we see God already doing in the community round about us. Harwood Methodist Church

Bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of Harwood

Harwood Methodist Church was formed by the merger of two successful, respected and well established Methodist churches; each with their own gifts, graces and history. Since September of 2009 we have spent a great deal of time praying, reflecting and listening to God about what it is that he is calling us to be as the church in this place.

Part of the response to that call is a significant redevelopment and reshaping of our physical buildings in Harwood.

You will find information about our redevelopment here

Includes progress and pictures of the

completed work on Phase 1

The Way Ahead

The Covenant Service on 5th January was the  launch of our “Way Ahead” series that we will be following through the start of the year.

Details of what we have done, what we are doing and what we will be doing can be found here

What’s On

Love in a Box

This is an opportunity to fill a shoebox with Christmas presents e.g pencils, crayons, a small toy etc for a child who would otherwise receive nothing.

It is a chance for the church family to put God's love into action.

Leaflets are now available at the back of the Church. This year the boxes are going to Swaziland.

The boxes will be collected at a special service at Longsight Church Hall on Sunday 9th November at 3.00pm
