Harwood Methodist Church

Bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to the people of Harwood

Welcome

What’s On

Welcome to the website of Harwood Methodist Church.

We are a Methodist Church in the Harwood area of Bolton. There have been Methodist Churches in Harwood for a very long time. More recently, two churches (Longsight and Tottington Road) joined together with a vision for our church for the 21st century.

Part of our vision was to improve our physical facilities and that is why we have a brand new building with state of the art facilities that hosts our worship area, activity hall, meeting rooms, kitchen and café.

The other part of our vision is about being a Christian presence in the community. We hope that you will join us, even if it is just for a visit, as we live out our vision.

Our main worship service is on a Sunday morning at 10:00am. We have a Sunday School for children age 3 upwards that meets at the same time.

We do have other services, including Sunday evenings where we will often join with other churches, or they might be on Zoom, YouTube and Facebook. These services vary from week to week, so check our weekly notices for details of those.

“Prayers for Bolton” is at 11am on a Sunday morning, with a guest preacher each week. This started during the lockdown when churches were closed for worship, but is continuing due to the demand. You can find BoltonFM on 96.5FM, listen on the website at boltonfm.com, or on your smart speaker.

For more details about the services, see our weekly notices.
